Thunderstruck Robotics

Our History

In the 2016-17 season, we won the judge's award at the league championship.

In the 2017-18 season, we were part of the finalist alliance and advanced to the Super Qualifier.

In the 2018-19 season, we added a second team #14507, High Voltage. At the league Championship, we placed 3rd for the Inspire Award and advanced to the Super Qualifier. At the Super Qualifier, we placed 2nd for the Design Award and 2nd for the Think Award and advanced to the Iowa Championship.

In the 2019-20 season, we had two high school teams, #11384 Thunderstruck and #14507 Ride the Lightning. At the League Championship, Thunderstruck won the Inspire Award and advanced to the Super Qualifier. At the Super Qualifier, Thunderstruck won the Innovate Award and advanced to the Iowa Championship.

In the 2020-21 season, we returned to one high school robotics team, #11384 Thunderstruck.

In the 2021-22 season, we won the Design Award and advanced to the Super Qualifier.

In the 2022-23 season, we were the Finalist Alliance Captain, won the Collins Aerospace Innovate Award, and advanced to the Super Qualifier. At the Super Qualifier, we were part of the finalist alliance, won the Motivate Award, and advanced to the Iowa Championship. At the Iowa Championship, we placed 12th in the robot matches in the Gold Division.

In the 2023-24 season, we were in the finalist alliance, won the Motivate Award, and advanced to the Iowa Championship.
